Soupbeans Gardening Tips Part One

Hello everyone! Hope all is well. I'm Soupbean. Care to come in have a cup of coffee, kick back, relax  and hear about some handy tips for your garden?
I've been gardening since I was little. My grandparents and parents would garden every year and I would always help.  It was hard work but worth every minute.
Gardening has always made me feel at peace and at the end of the day it gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. So I  figured I'd share some gardening secrets I picked up along the way.
Question  - What do you do with your used coffee grounds after brewing a pot of coffee?   Throw it away?
Heres a better idea. Take them out and spread them up close and around your tomato and pepper plants. No need to dig it into the soil;  just every time you water your plants pour the  water over the grounds. This is a gauranteed way to enhance your plants quality and yield.
What about the left over coffee? Personally, I normally drink the pot dry.  But if you have a little left over you can delute it with about a half a gallon to a gallon of water and use this to water your garden plants.
Now what about tea? Whether you have instant or brewed tea, an  unfinished cup can become quite the source for fertlizer.  Simply delute it with a half a gallon to a gallon of water.
The acidity in all this makes your garden thrive and the plants just love these methods.

May you be blessed and have a wonderful day Soupbean :-)

P.S.  Another quick secret, try singing or humming soft uplifting notes while in your garden.  The plants enjoy this and tend to give a better yield.   Plus,  it is a great way to releave stress and relax :-)

Old Timey Cowboy Coffee

Hello there everybody!  I hope everyones day is starting out nicely . I have my coffee brewed and was setting here thinking about the great invention of the primitive coffee maker - aka cowboy coffee. Don't get me wrong .  I'm not knocking the electric perculator.  Its a grand invention; but let me tell you about some of the reasons why it pays to have a primitve coffee maker as well.
If the electric goes out do to a snow storm, power outage, or whatever the cause then you will find out that having one of these pays off . You can use them by simply setting them on a wood stove, coleman propane stove, or on an outdoor grill or camp fire.
They are very light weight and easily packed when not in use making these excellent for a hunting trip and can be cleaned with a little soap and water.   They do not  use a paper  filter making your favorite coffee brand a little stronger.  All you need to use one of these is a heat source.   Like I said ,even a campfire will do coffee and water.
I tend to watch mine and when it starts to perc (you can tell this by the clear see through peice on the lid)  it will begin to bubble.   Watch the bubble.  The darker it is the stronger the coffee.   I let it go about 10 more minutes and it produces a  morning pick me up like no other.   It really brings out all the coffee flavor....
These can be purchased at various websites.
I hope you have a truly blessed and  safe day!!!   Soupbean :-)

A Early Sunday Morning

Hello every one!  Its your old pal Soupbean here. Up early on this beautiful Sunday morning. I just put on a nice pot of coffee and it has already filled my home with the most richest aroma.
I  take a step outside; its very quite and peaceful.  The only noise is the birds singing their sweet songs and my cat greeting me hello with a slight nudge. I am really appreciative to be alive and to wake up to these mornings filled with song,
This morning I'm also pondering the plans on my cabin project I have yet to start; but will in the near future; whether to go with a complete A frame or a ranch style nestled away on a flat in the woods with a old timey log fence outlining the flat. It will be a small home away from home to take my family or to go hunting with freinds so we can  have some venison to put in the freezer for winter. I have already been freezing back garden foods such as corn, tomatos, and green tomatos. Really to be honest, when I'm growing the garden and at the end of the season; harvesting, freezing, and canning  gives me  a relaxing feeling.  Whatever worries I have leave me and I'm at peace with myself .
Well I'im off to have a hot cup of coffee and to read a couple of pages in my small Bible which I tend to do every morning. .." I hope every one has a blessed day."

Introduction

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Joe or Soupbean as you may call me.
I love to wake up early in the morning, have a nice hot cup of coffee, and a very delightful glazed doughnut while setting in my upstairs study looking out at the morning sky coming to birth .Its beauty overwhelms me and always seems to bring me to ponder about various things in life and what it has to offer.
The beauty of nature like the birds singing, the smell of the pine trees as they"re relaxing aroma  gently blows by  riding  the wind, chipmunks scurrying in the yard, a doe deer and her fawn having a peace of corn in the near by garden; these are the things that are often taken for granted.
I ponder all things in general and was thinking today I would share my thoughts with whoever would be intersted in them. So I started this blog and plan to update it often with thoughts and experiences about life with its ups and downs and all it has to offer.Thank you for stopping by. May God bless you and I hope you all have a wonderfull peaceful day :-)          For any down home country gift giving that you would like to do you should check out this  wonderfull gift site     -                                                                                       http://www.pasttimes.com/
